What does a Cosmetology Training program at Fortis look like?
- Earn a diploma in s little as 60 instructional weeks
- Train in a supervised Student Salon Clinic participating in and performing actual cosmetology services with clients from the general public
- Learn through practical skill exercises, small-group learning, and traditional classroom lectures and discussions
- Cosmetology graduates are required to appear before a State Board of Cosmetology in order to be considered eligible to apply for state licensure. After a Cosmetology graduate passes the state examination, a license is received, and the graduate is then available for entry-level employment in a salon. A valid state license must be issued as a requirement for working as a cosmetologist. Licensing requirements vary by state. *
